Peter Tousley volunteered to become the Interim Chairperson for the Vermont VOAD during the July 2023 flood disaster. His focus is to create a strong bond between the State of Vermont Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, and Vermont’s community action groups to establish the VT VOAD as the go-to organization to lead in hazards mitigation, disaster preparedness, response and recovery planning. Peter has been the Burlington, Vermont Metro Administrator for team Rubicon USA for approximately 5 years. His background is in construction and resilient building systems design.
